Founded in 2023, Ant is a solo game developer who left the world of AAA development after a decade to go indie. He’s worked on hits such as Sea of Thieves and Fall Guys and across various genres such as racing sims and third-person shooters.
Expand the map with tiles, harvest its bounties, and trade them at settlements to gain victory points. Embark on quests and discover treasure, all whilst avoiding being raided by other ships.
Bounties of Babylon is a micro turn-based-strategy game set in the ancient world of Babylon. The gameplay is centered around collecting fruit and nut called Bounties.
Each turn pick 2 of the 3 tiles from the procedurally generated tile stack to place on the map. These tiles build out the rivers of Babylon for you to explore via dice rolls to move your ships.
Each tile has a coloured bounty type associated to it. Each ship’s harvestable yield is all connecting tiles of the same bounty type that have replenished bounties on. Bounties may replenish during every upkeep.
Trade these bounties with merchants at Settlements for victory points.
Each round is assigned quests, which when completed earn you more VPs, along with combat and trading Artifacts discovered in treasure. It’s up to you how you acquire VPs.
Each time the AI attacks you, you lose a life and when have none remaining, your run comes to an end. If you don’t meet the VP target for the round, it’s also game over.
Win by getting as many victory points required within the turn limit, and chase high scores by completing runs which vary in level structure each playthrough.
